Thanks for your perspectives as always John. It’s been a good offseason for them so far. The Strahm trade had me scratching my head but I get it his PFP comments didn’t help the cause or him staying on the club. However, the longer JT’s next contract decision lingers the more worried I become. I hope I’m wrong about it and I hope he’s back on a two-year deal with a club option for three. Time will tell

Yeah I guess Realmuto is looking for a 3-year deal? I don’t think he’s going to find it, though.

There’s one more domino left ! We’re all frustrated , but we root for them like lunatics John . Keep it up

I still think JT will be back too

Agree on JT , but I’m not as certain as I was before . Just don’t like the idea he’s holding the offseason hostage

Graded the Adolis signing an A. First reason is emotional; the guy is a spark in the dugout and clubhouse. Great energy, great team guy. Second reason is his bat. Yeah it was quiet in 24/25, but Justin Viele ruined most of the Rangers’ bats. Doli will come back with the good coaching in Philly. 3rd reason is defense. He’s a vacuum in right. As long as he sees the ball off the bat, he will get it.

I do love the energy. Phils need that. Could be an absolute steal if the bat returns to form. I’ve just seen too many hope & wish signings with this team. (Merrifield, Kepler, etc.)

At first I was a little surprised that a significant percentage had the Strahm trade at a C (implying, I thought, satisfaction with it). Then I was assuaged by seeing so few A's and B's. I myself gave it a D, though I immediately wished to take back my vote and assign an F. Whatever clubhouse issues were there, they were likely small ones. And though his velocity had been down this season, he was still excellent. And so very good for that part of the bullpen. I am not happy with this one.

Yeah it’s a bummer. For a split second, it looked like they would have LHPs Alvarado/Strahm/Banks and RHPs Keller/Kerkering/Duran. Would’ve been a nasty high-leverage group!!
