Great read. Thank you. Honestly I blame WIP for creating a trade narrative that shouldn’t exist. Dombo’s comments were not intended to spark a war with Harper. Aside from Harper’s agent requesting a contract extension, Dombo was playing his cards in terms of Harper’s production vs. elite players.

WIP jumped on it like the scavengers that they are.

Yeah I haven’t been listening but it sounds like WIP ran with it pretty hard. I guess that’s what keeps them in business though, what can you do.

My man looking at it from both sides . Schwarber imo is back too . Too much unnecessary drama for a situation that doesn’t need it , let’s say go birds lol

The best words in the English language are go Phils and go birds . Can’t convince me otherwise

I find Harper exhausting. He's no longer the center of the Phils' universe and I do feel he resents the way Schwarber has stepped up as team leader (you know I run on emotion, John). He hasn't reached Casty levels of bitchy but Dombrowski said nothing wrong (how dare he be honest) and instead of listening he went down the rabbit hole of rumors and still-not-over-them-losing fans, which we all know is never good. What he needs to do is work on his banana bread, enjoy his new baby, and accept that he may not the player he once was but that doesn't make him any less great.

Great points, especially about the rabbit hole. Seems like Harper is conflating Dombrowski’s mild comments with angry sports talk radio/internet slop.

Self inflicted drama that didn't need to happen. Place this completely on Dombrowski. Pay attention to the Eagles, not everything needs to be said aloud to the press.

Self-inflicted for sure. They have plenty of issues. This didn’t have to be one of them.
